About the job

The Social Media and Digital Communications Adviser will be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating social media, website and other digital content that raises awareness and drives uptake for Orygen Digital’s product brands. Helping to shape website content, track performance, and collaborate with young people and design teams to bring fresh ideas to life.
Reporting to the Product Communications and Marketing Manager, Orygen Digital you will:

  • Establish and maintain Mello’s social media channels, creating engaging content and growing an active online community.
  • Develop and publish compelling website content, ensuring SEO and accessibility.
  • Track website performance with Google Analytics and optimise based on data insights.
  • Collaborate with young people and teams to co-create content and campaigns.
  • Support paid social media for Mello and MOST, ensuring brand consistency across channels.

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or public relations, or related area.
  • Proven experience managing social media and creating content in marketing or communications roles.
  • Strong storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills with SEO knowledge.
  • Familiar with design tools like Canva and digital content publishing platforms.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and influencing outcomes and excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
