The Prevention Sector Engagement team is focused on expanding Our Watch’s engagement with the primary prevention workforce and sector across Australia, with an overarching aim to increase the skills, coordination and size of those working to prevent violence against women.
This position plays a key role in building awareness, knowledge and understanding of Changing the landscape: A national resource to prevent violence against women and girls with disabilities by embedding this into the Prevention in Action directorate’s training and learning activities. The broader intent of this role is to support the Prevention in Action directorate to strengthen their disability inclusive practice.
This role will work collaboratively with directorate colleagues with expertise in training and learning design, primary prevention sector and big-reach settings to identify opportunities to embed Changing the landscape into new and existing non-accredited training and learning activities, and to lead the development of this content. This may include embedding the drivers, actions and principles from Changing the landscape into online and face to face training, presentations, webinars, resources and communities of practice for the primary prevention sector and those working in big reach settings across Australia (eg, workplaces, sport).
