We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to fill the role of Senior Manager, International Programs on a 6 month maximum term basis.

The Role

As the Senior Manager, International Programs, you will report to the Director of Programs and Transformation, and you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Oxfam Australia’s international development and humanitarian strategy.

You'll lead an experienced team of international development practitioners who oversee high-quality development and humanitarian programming that adhere to industry standards. Y

ou will also form a critical part of the organisation's overall leadership cohort and facilitate cross-agency collaboration to maximise impact.

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

To be successful in this role you will have the following essential and desirable skills:

Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record in leading, managing and motivating geographically dispersed teams
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complexity and ability to adjust to changing contexts
  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse and evolving international development and / or humanitarian programs in the non-government sector
  • Nuanced understanding of current international development, humanitarian and inequality issues
  • Demonstrated expertise in program quality, monitoring and evaluation
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, learning, gender equality and social inclusion
  • An excellent track record of building collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Availability to commence role in May 2025

Desirable Skills:

  • In country program and people management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in international development or related field
