About the Role

This role is to lead and oversee all aspects of the FEAST program, drawing on best practices and evidence-based education and public health programming, development, implementation, and evaluation. You will be managing the FEAST team of qualified teachers, nutritionists and sustainability experts, developing the FEAST strategy and funding model, aligning with public health program evaluation frameworks, and reporting on OzHarvest’s FEAST Program KPIs. You will identify new and exciting ways Federal and State Government and non-government organisations can engage with OzHarvest FEAST program to recruit schools and generate increased revenue.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating community programs
  • High level conceptual, analytical, and critical appraisal skills, specifically applied to assessment of evidence and discernment of best practice interventions
  • Detailed understanding of evidence-based research, population health outcomes, and program planning
  • Ability to research, analyse and apply current information on the Australian Curriculum (and state specific curriculum), health education and environmental sustainability
  • Experience teaching and confidence in presenting to large audiences (i.e., conducting seminars/workshops)
  • Skills in leadership and team management

To succeed in the role, you will need:

  • Tertiary education in education, policy or sustainability
  • 5+ years relevant experience working in business, education, policy or sustainability
  • Drivers licence, valid police check and valid working with children check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Aptitude with Microsoft Suite, Learning Management Systems and Salesforce
