OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change their behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.

About the role:

Join our team at Refettorio OzHarvest – a unique, community-focused dining experience where we serve nourishing meals to those facing vulnerability in a welcoming and inclusive space. We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Refettorio Floor Supervisor to help create a warm, trauma-informed environment for our guests. You’ll lead a team of volunteers, ensure top-notch guest care, and promote cultural awareness and inclusion.

This role is 12 hours per week across Friday and Saturday.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead food service and guest support, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere
• Supervise and train volunteers, promoting respectful and high-quality service
• Respond to guest needs with empathy and de-escalation techniques
• Ensure safety and manage risks in a calm, proactive manner

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience in community services, hospitality, or similar roles
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and conflict resolution
• Passion for social justice and community empowerment
