About Perinatal Wellbeing Centre

An Accredited Mental Health Service, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre (formerly PANDSI) provides perinatal mental health support to clients from pregnancy until their youngest child reaches two years of age. We individually assess each client and develop a tailored plan of support to best meet their needs. In addition to a comprehensive telephone counselling service (supplemented with email support when needed), Perinatal Wellbeing Centre offers a range of programs and workshops designed to provide mental, emotional and physical benefits to those experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, stress and/or are finding it challenging adjusting to parenting.

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre invites applications from persons wishing to be considered for appointment as Treasurer of our amazing organisation. As Treasurer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of our organisation. You will work closely with the Board, CEO, and finance team to oversee financial management, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and monitoring the organisation’s financial performance.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and not-for-profit accounting standards.
  • Advising on financial strategy, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Supporting fundraising and grant applications.

About you

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent)
  • Experience serving on not-for-profit boards or committees (preferred).
  • Strong financial management, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • A passion for perinatal care and improving outcomes for families.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A commitment to the values and mission of the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre.

Volunteers are also required to have an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre welcomes nominations from all suitable candidates and encourages applications from people who identify as:
