Position Summary:
Are you an experienced events and fundraising professional looking to make a meaningful impact? As our Fundraising and Event Manager, you will be the driving force behind our 9 flagship "Put Your Foot Down" walk events across Australia. From planning and logistics to marketing, fundraising, and post-event evaluation, you’ll be at the heart of creating memorable and impactful experiences that bring people together and raise crucial funds for pancreatic cancer research.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Lead the planning and execution of the "Put Your Foot Down" walks, coordinating with local councils, venues, and suppliers.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure smooth delivery.
- Handle all logistics, from securing permits to managing vendors and on-the-ground operations.
Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate with our marketing team and external agencies to create and implement dynamic event marketing campaigns.
- Engage participants with compelling content, from pre-event communications to post-event thank-yous.
Event Day Delivery:
- Take charge of event day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and participants have an unforgettable experience.
- Manage volunteers, registration, and the coordination of all activities, reflecting PanKind’s values and mission.
Fundraising Management:
- Maximise fundraising potential by managing the event website and working closely with our fundraising platform partner.
- Provide ongoing support to participants, offering tips and encouragement to help them reach their fundraising goals.
Post-Event Evaluation:
- Gather and analyse participant feedback, conduct surveys, and compile event reports.
- Communicate with participants post-event, sharing updates on the impact of their efforts and thanking them for their support.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Community Fundraising Support:
- Collaborate with the Community Fundraising team to support a variety of community-led events.
- Offer guidance and support to community fundraisers, helping them to successfully plan and execute their events.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising and event management, particularly in large-scale, outdoor fundraising events.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel and work weekends for the 9 flagship events (with time off in lieu).
- A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference.
- Experience with digital marketing and fundraising platforms is a plus.
