Fight Parkinson’s is a not-for-profit organisation delivering specialist information and support services including information, education and support to people living with Parkinson’s, their families, carers, health providers and the wider community.

We raise awareness and funds for services and research that improves the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s and to support better self- management.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll develop and manage high-quality, optimised content that informs, engages, and inspires action. You will work across multiple platforms, including digital, print, and social media. Your work will amplify the voices of people affected by Parkinson’s and help drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content creation and management: Write, edit, and manage the production of our members magazine, e-newsletters, blogs, corporate communications, and social media content.
  • Storytelling and community engagement: Interview individuals affected by Parkinson’s to share powerful, real-life stories.
  • SEO and digital strategy: Create optimised website content and manage e-newsletters to maximise audience engagement.
  • Brand & messaging oversight: Provide the organisation with a ‘voice’ and ensure consistency in Fight Parkinson’s communication style and guidelines.
  • Project & Supplier Management: Collaborate with designers, publishers, and consultants to bring content to life.

About You

  • A strong writer with a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in content writing or communications, preferably in the health or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Ability to translate complex (medical/research) information into clear, accessible content.
  • Experience in SEO best practices, digital marketing, and email campaign management.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Passion for making a difference in the community.
