PBF Australia

PBF Australia (Paraplegic Benefit Fund) is a not-for-profit charity whose core goal is to reduce the incidence and impact of spinal cord injury across Australia. Our organisation employees over 45 people across Australia who live with a permanent spinal cord injury, thought to be largest single employer of people living with spinal cord injury in Australia.

We are on the hunt for people who live with paraplegia or quadriplegia as a result of a traumatic event. We have a number of positions available in the metro and regional areas. However, we will consider any permanent injury as a result of a crash or workplace incident

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Injury Prevention teams on a casual basis. We have work available in WA, Queensland, NSW and Victoria. We are also opening up opportunities in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.

Our award-winning injury prevention presentations help to reduce the incident of spinal cord injuries (as well as other injuries and fatalities) on the road, in the water, at workplaces or just in life.

We have opportunities in the following areas:

  • Road safety in high schools
  • Workplace safety

We are looking for people who have sustained a traumatic permanent spinal cord injury and are willing to share their story whilst aligning with our road and workplace award-winning injury prevention programs.

No experience in public speaking is necessary as we will provide full training and development, as well as presentation resources.

If this sounds like you, please send a brief CV and an outline of the cause of your injury addressed to Emma Seaman – Community Engagement Manager via the "Apply Now" button, or call 1800 809 780 for more information.

Please feel free to share with your wider community who may fit the above requirements.
