<h3>Crisis Support Coordinator</h3>
<p>The Crisis Support Coordinator will oversee service delivery, support Crisis Support in Gungahlin and provide direct assistance to clients accessing crisis support in Tuggeranong.</p>
<p>The Crisis Support Coordinator will support the Senior manager Community Service in the monitoring, reporting and improvement of Crisis Support. The position works closely and collaboratively with the Community Pantry Coordinator and the wider Community Services team.</p>
<p>This position provides the opportunity to significantly improve the lives of vulnerable people in our community.</p>
<h3>Your Role</h3>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate and deliver Crisis Support including the handing out of material aid, referral, and information</li>
<li>Respond to enquiries from the community</li>
<li>Increase and maintain currency of information available to clients.</li>
<li>Research possible avenues for challenges clients are facing. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained</li>
<li>Build relationships with stakeholders and referral points in the community and educate these groups about Crisis Support and other Communities at Work programs</li>
<li>Seek/identify/grow opportunities for partnerships with other community organisations</li>
<li>Operate within an approved budget</li>
<li>Participate in internal and external meetings as directed</li>
<li>Provide support to other parts of Community Service Programs as directed, including the Community Pantry</li>
<li>(Re)design and implement procedures required for the efficient and effective operation of the Crisis Support program</li>

<li>Relevant degree and/or experience in areas linked to community and vulnerable people</li>
<li>Maintain current &ldquo;Working with Vulnerable People&rdquo; registration</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to design and implement process improvements</li>
<li>You want to be excellent in what you do and are committed to lifetime learning</li>
<li>You display warmth and empathy and are comfortable working with and respectful of vulnerable people</li>
<li>You are aware of community supports and have the ability to research and out of the box thinking in a timely way to reflect the immediate need of clients</li>
<li>You can respond appropriately to challenges if they are presented to you</li>
<li>Ability to grow and maintain relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally</li>
<li>Well-developed communication skills that can be adapted to support different communication styles and levels of capacity.</li>
<li>Excellent administrative skills - database management, Microsoft Office and time management</li>
<li>Current drivers licence</li>
<li>Mental Health First Aid certificate</li>
<li>De-escalation training certificate</li>
