We are looking for a driven and passionate individual with experience in building partnerships and influencing decision-makers across the corporate and government sectors to join our team as Partnerships Co-Ordinator. This role will be pivotal in advancing disability inclusion across the economy, engaging and supporting organisations across NSW to develop and implement Disability Inclusion Action Plans (DIAPs) that drive meaningful and lasting change for People with Disabilities (PwD).

Part Time, Hybrid Role (2-3 days/week negotiable) 12-month contract, with a view to extend

This position will be paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, with a salary of $60-$80k pro-rata including superannuation and leave loading, pending skill level and experience.

About the organisation

The Physical Disability Council of NSW (PDCN) is the peak advocacy body for people living with physical disability in New South Wales. PDCN's purpose is to promote and protect the rights, interests and inclusion of people with physical disability across the state. PDCN is committed to providing accessible and inclusive education and capacity building opportunities that empower individuals with disability and advance their participation in society.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential corporate, council, and government clients.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure clients, ensuring effective lead generation, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored pitches, presentations, and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Influence decision-makers at various organisational levels.
  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with government and corporate institutions, disability organisations and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to raise awareness about PDCN’s expertise in disability inclusion.
  • Maintain records including (but not limited to) current and potential clients, feedback, progress, evaluations for reporting purposes, and report writing.
  • Research and analyse market trends to identify new opportunities for partnership and growth.
  • Work with the team to refine service offerings.
  • General relevant administrative tasks.
  • Complete continued relevant professional development (such as to stay informed and updated on changes to government law, policy and services).

Key selection criteria

  • Proven track record of meeting B2B sales targets.
  • Experience in partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in working in the public and private sectors, with executive or management staff.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • The proven ability to network and build strong client relationships.
  • Confidence to work in a range of different environments such as online or in the office with the team, online, via phone or face-to-face with individuals and groups, government offices and corporate staff as well as People with Disability.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • High level computer literacy (Microsoft Office and capacity to use cloud-based software).
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, sales and/or other relevant areas.
  • Qualifications or experience in DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) work.
  • Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives or projects.
  • Experience working with or for disability organisations.
  • Experience and/or existing relationships with local councils and/or the private sector.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline preferred.
  • Lived experience of disability and/or in interacting with people with disability.
  • Ability to travel throughout NSW.
