We have an opportunity for a motivated, innovative and focussed full time Wellbeing Manager who wants to make a difference to older people by creating individualised and organisational activity, social and wellbeing plans and events.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a dynamic Wellbeing program that is reflective of individual, organisational and community needs.
  • Recruiting, empowering and coordinating the Wellbeing Team and the Volunteer pool.
  • Coach and mentor staff – modelling Peninsula Villages ICCARE values.
  • Contribute to the delivery of Peninsula Village’s Strategic Plan.
  • Develop goals and engage those living with dementia, mental health, alcohol/drug addiction, post-traumatic injuries and physical disabilities.
  • Evaluating the Wellbeing program with an outcomes focus to ensure it meets both individual diverse needs, organisational strategies and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Educating, advocating, and supporting the Consumer Directed Care Model
  • Devise and support a strategy for the Wellbeing Team and Care Partners to build relationships across the whole community.
  • Ensure the Wellbeing program is aligned with legislative requirements considering organisational safety, resident safety and staff safety.
  • Ensure the Wellbeing program is aligned with Specified Care and Services under the Aged Care Act and Principles.
  • Create an innovate, community focussed volunteer program that engages volunteers and empowers them to feel part of the Peninsula Village family.

About You:

  • Are you a dynamic and motivational leader?
  • Are you qualified and experienced in the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure, health and well-being programs?
  • Do you hold a Cert IV in Leisure and Health OR a Bachelor of Health Science (Leisure and Health) or equivalent?
  • Do you have a genuine desire to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of elderly people?
  • Are you willing to engage and align practice with our Peninsula Villages ICCARE Values?

Offers of employment will be subject to police certificate requirements in accordance with Police Certificate Guidelines for Aged Care Providers and a functional assessment. To work in aged care, you must be vaccinated for COVID-19, including the booster dose, and willing to have the annual influenza vaccination.
