Person Centred Services is dedicated to supporting people to get services and support to help them have a happy and hope-filled life! As our name suggests, our mission is to always provides services which are centred on each individual we work with, to address their specific needs and desires. We are committed to providing Trauma Informed, compassionate and strength-based supports which puts our clients first and which is worthy of their trust!
Person Centred Services are currently expanding our services and will be starting to offer Support Worker services very soon (commencing in conjunction with this role) in addition to our existing Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Counselling services, so we are looking for people who are enthusiastic, flexible and looking to be part of this exciting new phase for our business.
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic people who are reliable, have a caring and compassionate approach, are flexible and willing to work with a wide range of people to provide support to our clients. You will need to have relevant training and/or lived experienced, a desire to predominantly support people with Psychosocial (Mental Health related) and/or Autism related support needs and availability to commit to supporting people on any day of the week and for short shifts (minimum 2 hours).
The Person Centred Support Worker will take pride in delivering a seamless, high quality service to clients with a person directed care approach, positive, can-do attitude, and a friendly, caring approach as you seek to make a positive difference to the lives of people living with mental health issues and/or Autism, their family, and carers.
Note that Person Centred Services operates virtually without offices, therefore, you will need to be willing to undertake your role independently with support and to complete administrative and other tasks from your home or other location.
We prefer a non-diagnostic and strengths-based approach to supporting clients, which recognises clients’ inherent strengths and abilities, and which empowers them to make decisions about their lives and to make choices and decisions which align with their goals, values and aspirations.
We’re looking for people who are able to support clients without judgement and without the need to default to a Psychiatric or other diagnosis when providing support, and who are comfortable with working with people who have experienced trauma and other distressing situations, in ways which recognises the effect of that on them and which supports them to live a full and hope-filled life!
