- Job Title: Head of Events and Community / Events and Community Lead

What you’d be doing in this role
The Events and Community Lead will have ownership of two critical functions within the team;
- Movement: Spearheading and shaping the movement aimed at inspiring the next generation of philanthropists. This role offers you the chance to steer the vision of our dedicated and forward-thinking global volunteer community, driving them towards making a tangible impact through crowdfunding events and campaigns across the globe.
- Partnerships: Identifying and fostering relationships with corporates and philanthropists who share our values and vision. These partnerships play a crucial role in expanding and amplifying the impact for the innovative early-stage SPOs in our alumni network.
Below are examples that illustrate what the responsibilities might include. We’ll be looking for you to drive the strategy for the above, and therefore we welcome new ideas;
- Collaborate with the CEO and the Board to craft a strategic plan and operational roadmap for upcoming events over the next three years.
- Consider national vs international focus and potential models for implementation in different markets.
- Determine fundraising and impact model for events and set targets.
- Report progress to the CEO and Board.
- Leading our passionate 10x10 Volunteer Event Committees, driving, influencing, and fostering collaboration within this community. Your pivotal role involves steering the execution of events and initiatives in alignment with our mission, both during and beyond these events. This movement aims to inspire the next generation of philanthropists and foster a culture of giving.
- Maximising event revenue by cultivating funding partnerships. You will be responsible for devising partnership strategies targeting both the philanthropic and corporate sectors. These efforts will increase the funds raised at events to amplify the impact for the SPO community.
- Collaborating closely with 10x10's Digital Marketing Coordinator to increase engagement on our social platforms through compelling storytelling.

- You have had experience leading and invigorating both people and organisations. Bonus for experience leading volunteer networks.
- You possess the ability to match the drive of our Volunteer Event Committees while influencing decisions and processes in alignment with our 10x10 goals.

Founded in 2013 in Sydney, Australia, 10x10 is a registered charity with a mission to empower the next generation of change-makers. With a focus on boosting innovative, grassroots social purpose organisations (SPOs) dedicated to addressing social issues.
By collaborating with teams of dedicated volunteers across the globe, we have successfully hosted 130+ crowdfunding events across 7 countries, raising over $5.5 million for 340 early-stage and innovative SPOs.
Now, with a recent collaboration with the newly founded $450M+ Community Capital Credit Fund, 10x10 can amplify its impact even further. This collaboration aims to support eligible SPOs, with 10x10 facilitating the grant-making framework through which Community Capital Credit Fund will allocate $15-20 million to the most talented Australian social entrepreneurs, expediting the implementation of grassroots programs aimed at resolving inequity and social challenges.
