About the Role

We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our team at the iconic Phillip Island Penguin Parade and help deliver a world-class experience for our visitors.

As Duty Manager, you will oversee the operational aspects of the Penguin Parade each evening. You will be responsible for managing the opening and closing procedures, service delivery, guest experience, and site presentation, with a strong focus on safety and quality. You will provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring effective and efficient operations throughout the evening. In addition, you will play a primary role in Emergency Management and risk management activities, all while making quick, effective decisions to address any challenges that arise.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience managing customer service at a high level preferably within the tourism industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of key aspects of tourism operations and the ability to effectively implement policy and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Medium level of computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong leadership and confident in decision making.

  • Working with Children Check.
  • Drivers’ License
  • First Aid Level II and CPR
