About the Role
As Branch Manager (QLD), you’ll play a vital role in shaping the experience of our physiotherapist members by leading engagement, professional development, and advocacy efforts. Your work will ensure that members feel supported, empowered, and heard within the profession.
You will:
- Lead member engagement & recruitment initiatives – build strong relationships and enhance the value of APA membership in QLD.
- Foster stakeholder & health sector connections – collaborate with health organisations, committees, and government bodies to amplify advocacy messages.
- Support professional development opportunities – oversee the QLD branch’s education programs and events.
- Manage & empower a small team – ensuring they are well-supported, motivated, and delivering impactful outcomes.
- Coordinate state-wide operations – ensuring smooth event planning, strategic communications, and committee support.
Who You Are and Selection Criteria
We’re looking for a proactive and relationship-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse environment. You’ll enjoy engaging with members, supporting committees, and working closely with key health sector stakeholders.
- Experience working in a membership association or similar environment is highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, advocacy, or volunteer management skills.
- Passionate about supporting health professionals & their professional development.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a small team effectively.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, hybrid environment.
Special Requirements
- Some interstate travel and occasional after-hours work (time-in-lieu provided).
