PICC is a not-for-profit, community-controlled organisation that provides a wide range of health, community services, and social enterprises. PICC’s community services include child protection, early childhood, disability, youth, community justice, domestic and family violence, women’s and family programs, and diversionary services. Our health and community services are funded by various state and federal funding bodies.

We are currently seeking to employ a senior advisor to work in the role of Chief of Staff in a full-time capacity.

The Chief of Staff reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and coordinates corporate business in line with strategic and operational plans and objectives. The role serves to enhance cross-functional communications, improve time management, deal with issues before they become problems, determine options and ways forward, increase efficiency and achieve success. This position works directly with the Chief Executive Officer and across departments to build strong relationships with the Executive and Team Leaders across the organisation. The role plays a strong influence in the achievement of company outcomes, through supporting the CEO to maintain direction and momentum. While the Chief of Staff is an influencer, the position does not direct the executive leadership team.

Mandatory

  1. Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or MBA, or at least 15 years’ experience in the community and health sectors in executive management role/s.
  2. Proven ability in systems analysis, service planning, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and review.
  3. Demonstrated ability in leading quality improvement activities and effecting risk and change management as required.
  4. High level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to advocate, influence, problem solve and negotiate for positive outcomes.
  5. Proven ability in writing and the preparation of all types of high-level correspondence in the workplace.

Desirable

  1. Worked as an active member in a team to provide supervision and day-to-day care of children and young people.
  2. Provided confidential, factual reports or file notes on interactions with children, young people and families.
  3. Willingness to undertake training and professional development activities.
  4. Able to work after-hours shifts.
