About the role

Supply Nation is Australia's leader in Supplier Diversity, connecting corporate businesses, government agencies, and Indigenous-owned enterprises through a direct business-to-business purchasing platform. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role focuses on ensuring the effective engagement, support, and verification of Supply Nation's registered and certified suppliers, as well as overseeing the seamless delivery of supplier services. The responsibilities of the Head of Supplier Services will adapt and evolve to meet the changing needs of the organisation and its stakeholders.

About you

You are a dedicated leader with a strong understanding of Indigenous culture, empowerment and barriers to success in Indigenous business. With proven experience in supplier diversity, procurement, and financial management, you drive meaningful change and foster cultural integrity within the Indigenous business sector. You ensure service excellence through proven delivery on strategic initiatives as well as impactful outcomes aligning with organisational goals. You also excel in relationship retention across diverse networks and thrive in dynamic environments requiring cross-functional collaboration.

Through exceptional people management and honed organisational skills you effectively lead geographically dispersed teams. Your commitment to supporting Indigenous business is shown through tailored development of successful solutions to overcome the challenges they face.

Essential Key Selection Criteria

  • Proven understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures, and the challenges faced by Indigenous Australians in business, with the ability to incorporate cultural integrity into all aspects of service delivery, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with a track record of effectively leading teams, including geographically dispersed staff, while demonstrating the ability to foster collaboration, support professional development, and deliver high-performance outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in service delivery, with a focus on supplier diversity and procurement.
  • Strong strategic development and implementation skills, including demonstrated financial and operational management expertise.
  • Proven capacity to develop and sustain networks that support the growth and empowerment of Indigenous businesses.
  • Demonstrated understanding of challenges faced by small businesses and the ability to develop effective, tailored solutions.
