Remote / Work from Home
Founded in 2019, Our Plan C Inc. (known as Plan C) is a not-for-profit registered charity with a mission to build the resilience and regenerative capacities of Australian communities in the face of disasters and crises. We envision communities that are resilient and regenerative, prepared for adversity, know how to support each other and have a sense of a collective safety net.
Plan C is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to work with our team to implement the next iteration of the NextGen Navigator (NGN) program in the Northern Rivers of NSW. In 2024, Plan C ran two NGN programs - an initiative designed to equip young people with the skills and confidence to become leaders in disaster resilience, social cohesion, and community-building. Through comprehensive training, mentorship, and practical projects, the program aims to foster community resilience and strengthen networks. More information about the 2024 NGN project can be found here: https://www.planc.org.au/ngn.
With funding from Multicultural NSW as part of the COMPACT grant, we are now looking for a Coordinator who will: manage a collaborative re-design process with young people, engage stakeholders, implement project delivery, co-facilitate training sessions, and oversee participant-led projects. This role is pivotal in achieving project objectives and shaping the broader impact of the NextGen Navigator initiative for the next four years and into the future. If you have strong experience in project development and management, youth engagement and training facilitation skills, let us know.
Working with the Plan C team takes flexibility, creativity and an understanding of how a small NFP works. We don't have a physical office and work remotely, with dedicated days for in-person meetings. This means you will need to work both independently and use online communication platforms as part of your working day. Travel in the Northern Rivers region will also be required to deliver the NGN project.
The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director and will occasionally work with Plan C’s CEO and Operations Director.
