Position Duties

The successful candidate must have a qualification suited to the performance of a junior accounting role. They will perform the following activities (guidance will be provided so talented candidates should apply even if they don’t have specific experience):

• Maintain company accounts (presently Xero),
• Accounts payable and expenses
• Administer timesheets, payroll and superannuation
• Assist management with internal reporting:
  • Project costs and budgeting
  • Operating revenue, costs and budget
• Routine lodgements and reporting:
  • BAS, payroll, etc
  • Liaise with the company’s external accountant for annual returns
  • ASIC reporting
• Assist management with corporate finance:
  • Business case analysis for new projects
  • Reporting to funding agencies and stakeholders
  • Bank funding processes
• General administration, assistance and support tasks, as required

Required Skills

• Degree qualification suitable to the role
• Excel skills and general computer proficiency
• Knowledge of Xero (or similar)
• Essential understanding of accounting processes

The role is for a permanent full-time employee (candidates available for more than 3 days per week will also be considered) with remuneration determined by demonstrated proficiency.
