Pride Disability Services is a small, values-based organisation that is passionate about supporting NDIS participants from the LGBTQIA+ and Gender Diverse communities to reach their goals and live full lives.

We are here to make a difference by connecting people who have shared interests and values in the provision of support and care. Pride Disability Services is committed to delivering a highly personal, responsive, and client-centred service under the NDIS Framework.

We are currently seeking passionate members of the LGBTQIA+ community or advocates of the community to work with us as Disability Support Workers.

We are seeking Disability Support Workers for the South-East region of Melbourne. Participants are located in Somerville, Frankston, Narre Warren, Hampton Park, Doveton, Springvale & surrounds.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Non-judgmental, empathetic, sympathetic and a positive and interactive attitude with great initiative and communication
  • Demonstrated understanding of gender and sexual diversity.
  • Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
  • National Police Clearance- within 6 months
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check
  • NDIS worker's screening clearance
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Experience in Mental health (Preferred)
  • Driver’s license and reliable transport (Highly preferred)
  • Certificate IV in Disability (or similar field)
  • Minimum of 15 hours of availability, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends available.
