Primary Health Tasmania has a unique opportunity for a Biostatistician to join the Program Strategy and Performance unit. The team comprises of a diverse range of professionals, including a public health physician, clinical epidemiologists, statisticians, health data analysts, data visualisation specialists, data engineers, and health program evaluation experts. With access to the most extensive primary health care datasets in Tasmania (GP data), the team is well-prepared to advise and drive improvements in the primary healthcare sector, capable of providing expert guidance to the organisation regarding evidence-based enhancements in the primary health care system.
Reporting to the Manager – Program Strategy, your work will involve studying patterns and factors that influence the health and service needs of Tasmanian population. You will provide evidence by designing and performing sophisticated health data analysis and reports, supporting evidence-based decision making in health program planning and investment and contributing to the overall improvement of public health and primary healthcare systems.
