About the opportunity

At Primary Health Tasmania, our purpose is to create sustainable health and wellbeing solutions with, and for, the Tasmanian community - making sure Tasmanians get the right health care, in the right place and at the right time. Our Partnership and Integration team focuses on understanding health policies, strategic health reform and testing new integrated care models. We use diverse skills to create innovative solutions and strengthen health service coordination.

We are excited to be searching for our new Health Program Coordinator (Primary Health Consultant) to work with prioritised local communities, co-designing tailored solutions that address their specific health care needs. What you would be doing

Every day you will have the opportunity to coordinate and support local projects by:

  • Conducting environmental scans and needs assessments to identify local barriers, challenges and opportunities
  • Consulting with local providers and consumers
  • Forming working groups
  • Developing multidisciplinary models of care specific to local needs
  • Supporting the coordination and development of strategic workforce solutions for primary health workforce to address current shortages

Here's what you’ll look like

You might have a background in health or community service, health policy, community planning, government, workforce development or project coordination.

These skills will also get you off to a great start:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with consumers and stakeholders across health and service sectors to identify issues, implement solutions, and evaluate outcomes
  • Evidence-Based Planning: Advanced strategic thinking with expertise in analysing policies, reforms, regulations, and health data to inform planning and projects
  • Teamwork: Experience leading and collaborating within teams to drive organisational high performance
  • You’ll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work.
