Our Priority Populations team focuses on finding better ways to deliver care and to improve access to primary health care for those in our community with unique needs and who deserve our special attention.

We are excited to be searching for our new Lead – Integrated Health Care (Priority Populations) who will work closely with a skilled and dedicated team, partnering with health system stakeholders, communities and consumers to strengthen fair and equitable healthcare access for all priority population groups.

What you would be doing

Every day you will have the opportunity to lead and support initiatives by:

  • Researching, testing and using new methods and tools to improve healthcare integration
  • Leading key projects to show how integration strategies work, especially to improve healthcare access for priority populations
  • Working with other teams to embed contemporary, integrated healthcare methods into our strategies and activities
  • Finding and addressing key areas to improve integrated healthcare capabilities in our primary health workforce and service providers

Here's what you’ll look like

You might have a background in health public policy sector, research, clinical or a health-related sector.

These skills will also get you off to a great start:

  • Evidence-informed interventions: Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to understand and apply complex ideas in real-world situations, leading to effective evaluation and measurable results
  • Innovation: Demonstrated leadership in creativity and innovation, with the ability to test and apply evidence-based models for better healthcare integration
  • Change management: Proven ability to engage, influence and collaborate with various stakeholders, including consumers, communities, service providers and partners to drive change and implement new ways of working
  • You’ll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work.
