Organisational Overview

Established in 2016, Proud 2 Play Inc. (P2P) has quickly become a leader in the sport and recreation industry. Based in Melbourne, we are predominantly a Victorian-focused organisation that is continuing to grow, with occasional interstate work.

Proud 2 Play is a young and progressive organisation that exists to enhance opportunities for LGBTQIA+ communities to lead active and healthy lifestyles in affirming and inclusive environments, through the power of sport and recreation. We work across all levels of the sport and recreation ecosystem – from individual participants and grassroots communities, through to state and national sporting organisations

About The Role

This role will lead the development and delivery of our train the trainer program that supports clubs and organisations to implement the Rainbow Ready Clubs Framework. You’ll also play a key role in delivering our wider capacity-building initiatives – including our education offerings and the Rainbow Sports Alliance network.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and deliver a dynamic train-the-trainer model that equips community members and clubs to lead inclusion.
  • Develop and continuously improve education content using behaviour change theory.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of Proud 2 Play's education workshops and training across the sport and recreation sector.
  • Facilitate and help grow the Rainbow Sports Alliance – our network of inclusive sporting organisations.
  • Build strong relationships with local, state and national stakeholders.
  • Manage administration, documentation and reporting tasks tied to the programs you deliver.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience delivering training or education (required)
  • Experience developing and delivering train-the-trainer programs (desirable)
  • Knowledge or experience in LGBTQIA+ inclusion, sport and recreation, or community engagement
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A commitment to improving equity and access through inclusive practices

The role requires a Working with Children Check and the right to work in Australia.

Occasional evening, weekend, regional and interstate travel will be required.

You’ll join a small, passionate team working in a mix of office-based and external environments, with flexible working arrangements available.
