About the role

After outsourcing the finance function for the past four years, the role of Finance Manager is now being brought inhouse. This represents an exceptional and exciting opportunity for an individual to come in, take ownership and be a part of something special. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organisation's mission and long-term goals
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision making
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and liaising with other department heads
  • Prepare accurate financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and planning
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports for the Board and executive team
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support audit processes
  • Monitor and manage cash flow
  • Oversee grant funding processes, including application support, tracking and reporting
  • Over payroll and accounts processing

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ideally you will come from a previous not-for-profit organisation or from a non-state school environment. However, if you don't have industry experience you will need to demonstrate a strong desire to move into the NFP sector
  • Formal qualifications (accounting or a related field) including CPA qualified
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
  • A commitment to integrity and ethical leadership, ensuring transparency, trust and accountability in all actions
  • A passion and drive to contribute to growth, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the team
  • You have an exceptional ability to connect and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and with the community
