About the Role

Bring your highly developed leadership experience and stakeholder engagement skills to this unique Manager Finance and Accounting position. Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for leading daily operations of the finance team, providing technical direction, mentoring and general support; while also collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation and managing key client relationships to ensure their business and financial goals are being met.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and inspire strong client relationships within the Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Sector in Queensland
  • Lead and manage a team of Accountants and Bookkeepers, ensuring technical work is performed to a high standard
  • Establish and oversee client service agreements and ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant funding arrangements and key performance indicators
  • Prepare and present high level senior management / Board reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, reporting processes and structures

Skills & Experience required

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, along with CA / CPA qualification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong technical capabilities in financial and management accounting
  • Ideally you will have had some previous experience in audit or public practice, or a group accounting environment with multiple business entities
  • High level of business and commercial acumen
  • You will have strong capabilities in relationship management, project management and continuous improvement, and communicating with influence
