Penrith Women’s Health Centre (PWHC) is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Community Case Worker to join our Health and Wellbeing Services team. PWHC is committed to providing a wide range of support to women in the Penrith area who may be experiencing financial hardship, social isolation or have a history of violence or trauma. Our service is focussed on using trauma informed and client led approach. Our centre is committed to providing support services that are culturally appropriate, and evidence informed. An essential requirement of this role is a degree level qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Criminology or equivalent work experience of at least 3 years in a similar role.

PWHC considers being a woman a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act.

  • Casual up to 28 hours per week, please note that this position may require some travel to outreach locations;
  • Fixed-term until 30 June 2025

About Working with Penrith Women’s Health Centre

PWHC has been supporting the women of Penrith to improve their health and wellbeing since 1987. Our centre provides an inviting, safe space for women to seek support and social connection. We provide safety and empowerment services including domestic and family violence case management, brokerage, case coordination, education and social groups. Our health and wellbeing services team includes, nurses, counsellors, massage therapists and community development officer, all of whom are supported by our shared services and administration team. Our centre is close to Penrith CBD, and has easy access to all-day public parking and public transport connections.
