You will be engaging with employers, small business and industry stakeholders across Queensland to provide high quality, evidence-based industry advice (including data and intelligence) about the industry and labour market landscape including issues and challenges, current and emerging industry direction, skills needs and training solutions, jobs growth and employment opportunities.

About you:

You will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Education and Training, Human Resources/Industrial Relations (desirable), with a minimum 5 years demonstrated experience to fulfil the requirements of the position.
  • High level research, analysis and reporting capabilities including interpreting legislation, analysing data (quantitative and qualitative), academic grey literature on skills and labour gaps to develop reports on industry skills and workforce development matters.
  • High-level demonstrated experience in leading contemporary and participatory engagement and consultation processes to engage and build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders that support the Industry Engagement Framework priorities.
  • High-level demonstrated project management experience leading the establishment of new projects, developing and implementing innovative skills and workforce strategies, including the coordination of competing priorities and stakeholder needs, coupled with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and written communication skills with a high-level of attention to detail.
  • The capacity to travel and perform some out of hours work.

In addition, the following mandatory requirement applies:

  • Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

What you will get:

We will offer you a flexible, exciting, rewarding full-time (38 hrs/week) permanent position in a great place to work.

All this plus a competitive remuneration package between $119,666 - $124,665 per annum dependent on relevant qualifications and experience to fulfil the requirements of the position.

Superannuation of 12.5% and salary packaging benefits apply in addition to flexible work arrangements including working from home, flex time and time off in lieu provisions.
