The Queensland Human Rights Commission is an independent statutory human rights agency with responsibilities under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and the Human Rights Act 2019.

We are seeking a Manager, Education Services to lead and oversee the Education Services team.

In this role, you will:

  • Scope, develop and implement the Commission’s external education strategy and programs on a range of topics relevant to the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and Human Rights Act 2019.
  • Lead and coordinates a small highly skilled education team to develop and deliver education programs and services for public, private and community organisations on human rights and equal opportunity.
  • Lead innovative and tailored programs, specialist courses, speaking engagements, eLearning and digital education services that are contemporary and respond to the changing needs of rights holders and duty bearers.
  • Ensuring external and internal alignment of the Commission’s education programs to current and emerging legislative requirements, community needs, and our strategic priorities.
  • Engage and manage third-party service providers to supplement delivery capacity across Queensland to augment the team’s internal capacities as required.
  • Conceptualise and develop tools that embed human rights and prevent discrimination into systems and practices, reinforce education and strengthen impact.
  • Ensure financial viability, optimisation of resources, quality of outcomes and equitable access to education programs across all of Queensland, including regional and remote areas.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve an annual internal education and training program to ensure appropriate and consistent knowledge and expertise across all of our front-line staff.
  • Establish an effectively monitoring and evaluation framework to measure and report on the effectiveness of the Commission’s education programs and to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the development of repeatable and bespoke training packages.
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships, networks, and partnerships.
  • Grow audiences for the Commission’s fee for education services and provide high-quality, innovative and evidence-based consultancy services including the design, development and implementation of tailored education services, leading practice strategies and action plans to advance equality and human rights.

This is permanent, flexible full-time time role based in our Brisbane Head Office. We are based in the CBD with easy access to public transport.
