Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS) is a branch of Lutheran Education Queensland (LEQ) under the auspices of the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District (LCAQD) and is the approved provider for 59 early childhood services.  We are looking for a new Finance Officer to join our team.  Salary will be dependent on experience.

The Finance Officer provides finance support within the Business Office Team, working closely with Accountants and directly responsible to the Deputy Executive Director, Finance. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Full function accounts payable and receivables including data entry for centrally managed services.
• Reconciliation of accounts receivable through XPlor software.
• Processing Government funding for Approved Provider  services
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Perform other duties that the Deputy Executive Director Finance may request on occasion. 

 Selection Criteria

• Experience with large and small Accounting Packages (Greentree preferred).
• Intermediate Excel skills 
• Ideally, up to 3 years’ work experience in a similar role.
• Experience within the education / early childhood industry will be highly regarded.
• Supportive of the values, mission and ethos of the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District (LCAQD).
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be willing to obtain one.
