The Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC) is the peak body for Social Enterprise and purpose-led business in Queensland. We represent, support and advocate for the interests of social enterprises and social entrepreneurs to drive high social, cultural and environmental impact for Queensland communities.

About the Role

As our Membership & Engagement Officer, you will be the first point of contact for members, playing a key role in relationship management with current and prospective members. You’ll respond to enquiries, action support, facilitate member communications, and support events and programs that strengthen our network, helping us build a strong, connected and collaborative social enterprise ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Membership Strategy: Develop and execute initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and recruitment of members.
  • Member Experience: Improve processes and streamline the end-to-end membership journey.
  • Administration: Manage membership renewals, enquiries, and our database (CRM).
  • Regional Network: Connect with and coordinate our regional hubs, including regular check-ins and activity support.
  • Engagement & Events: Work alongside our Operations Officer to coordinate and deliver member events, roundtables, and peer connection opportunities. Assist in identifying and activating partnerships that bring value to our members.
  • Data & Analytics: Leverage CRM data to track sector trends, member engagement, and effectiveness of initiatives. Maintain data integrity and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and relevance. Prepare end-of-month reports and track progress in line with QSEC's strategic plan.
  • Team: Collaborate with QSEC’s team on strategic projects and sector development.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a membership role within a professional association or similar organisation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with hands-on experience in engagement initiatives
  • Comfortable using digital tools like CRMs, email platforms, and project management software (Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, Asana)
  • Passionate about social enterprise, community development, and purpose-led business
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small, agile team
  • Must have a driver's license
