Your new role

  • Full-time Ongoing located at Deakin, ACT
  • Annual Salary between $85,120.35 to $91,586.55, plus Superannuation, NFP Salary Packaging, Paid Christmas closure and other generous leave provisions under our Enterprise Agreement.

The ICT and Facilities Support Officer is responsible for delivering efficient and effective support for the organisation's information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of its facilities. This role involves maintaining ICT systems, resolving technical issues, and providing user support while managing building operations, security, and maintenance.

Duties

The position must provide support to ICT Manager to manage the day-to-day operation and upkeep of RACR’s owned and leased premises, facility systems, equipment, fleet, and ancillary assets.

  • Provide first-level ICT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain and manage the organisation's ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems.
  • Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and servicing of building facilities, equipment, and systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, security).
  • Oversee building security, including access control systems and alarm monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for ICT processes, facilities policies, and procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Experience with L1-L2 ICT Support. Demonstrated experience in providing Level 1 and Level 2 ICT support, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and assisting users with hardware, software, and network issues.
  2. Experience in Microsoft 365 Environment. Proficiency in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook, to ensure seamless collaboration and communication across the organisation.
  3. Experience in Facilities and Project Management. Proven experience in various aspects of facilities management, project coordination, and building and property maintenance. This includes planning, execution, and oversight of facilities-related projects and tasks.
  4. Stakeholder Management and Negotiation. Strong ability to manage relationships and effectively negotiate with a range of stakeholders, including contractors, service providers, and internal teams, to achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Autonomous Work and Initiative. Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to plan, coordinate, and maintain facility operations and implement strategic improvements.
