About the role

You will report to the Centre Manager - Melbourne Family Relationship Centre (FRC) and Therapeutic Services, and you will provide clinical intake and program support to the Therapeutic Services program. This includes providing trauma-informed intake and assessment with a client cohort affected by complex trauma. This role is also responsible for data recording and management, maintaining client records, conducting an initial service eligibility assessment, and carrying a small caseload of single-session or brief intervention counselling and case management.

This opportunity is located at our Melbourne FRC and is a permanent, full-time position.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, or in psychology, social science or counselling.
  • Demonstrated previous experience of intake support and/or mental health, trauma recovery, therapeutic counselling/case management and advocacy and working with individuals and families with complex trauma.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively intervene, prioritise and manage crisis situations.
  • A psychological and systemic understanding of the impact of mistreatment of vulnerable people on the individual and their relationships.

The base salary range is $92k - $99k per annum.
