Open Place is a support service for Victoria’s ‘Forgotten Australians’ and coordinates and provides direct assistance to address the needs and issues of people who grew up in ‘care’. Open Place helps people to deal with the legacy of their childhood experiences and to support them to improve their health and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include providing support to survivors of institutional childhood sexual abuse. You will provide timely, clear, accurate and relevant assistance and encouragement to Forgotten Australians applying for Redress through the National Redress Scheme (NRS), ensuring the processes are accessible and providing relevant information in the application making process including referrals to relevant services, where required.
Both of these full-time positions are based at our Open Place centre located in Richmond and includes participation in regional outreach, which may require overnight stays.
The base salary range is $92k-$95k per annum.
