Are you an experienced fundraising database professional, who is passionate about making a difference in children’s health? We are now recruiting for a full-time, permanent Fundraising Database Lead to work closely with our Manager, Marketing and Supplier Relations and manage a small team.

Who we are

Founded in 1989, the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Royal Children’s Hospital, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children. While a legally separate organisation, the RCH Foundation works closely with the RCH in achieving its vision.

The Role

The Fundraising Database Lead is responsible for leading and planning the work of the Database Team (two staff) in growing and maintaining the integrity of the database, designing and developing new functionality for the Salesforce database, updating and securing data, recording financial transactions and preparing reports on donor activity.

The role is directly responsible for conducting analysis of data, producing reports with actionable recommendations, improving integration of salesforce with other systems, working with stakeholders to understand and document business rules, processes, and requirements.

About You

  • You are purpose driven and committed to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in data analysis and managing a CRM database, preferably using Salesforce
  • You have demonstrated experience producing analysis and reporting from a CRM, and interpreting data with insights and recommendations, ideally with a degree or diploma in a data or information-related subject.
  • You are proficient in time management and team leadership skills, ideally with experience leading a team
  • You have advanced computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication with strong administrative skills
  • Preferably, you have experience in working in a not for profit, health or philanthropic organisation
  • You are confident in your work, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk
  • You have a commitment to personal development

Key Selection Criteria

  • Extensive experience in management, administration, and data integrity of Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database.
  • Extensive experience in producing analysis and reporting from a CRM, and interpreting data with insights and recommendations.
  • Experience leading and motivating a small team of data professionals to meet demanding expectations and timeframes.
  • Strong time management skills, to schedule competing priorities for you and your team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, including stakeholder communications, effective listening, and diplomacy.
  • Experience with campaign segmentation, reporting, and customer journey creation in a CRM.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, business rules, and business processes, as they relate to data, CRM, and integration points.
  • Extensive experience managing external technical support and development suppliers.
  • Experience of working in the Not-For-Profit or medical sector.
