In the daunting and unpredictable experience that follows diagnosis, a child needs as much stability and support from their family as possible. Redkite is a lifeline for families, providing real emotional, financial and practical support. Because holding it together when your child’s life is in question can feel impossible.

The role:

As an integral member of the Service Delivery team the primary purpose of this role is:

  • Providing administrative support to the services operations team
  • Managing stock levels of inventory - including vouchers, books and marketing collateral
  • Collating, packing and sending book club orders
  • Coordinating printing and delivery of marketing materials

This role is key to the efficient delivery of Redkite’s Financial Assistance program, book club and other online services which are delivered to children with a diagnosis of cancer, their families, partners and support networks. The role will work closely with Redkite’s Intake and Connection Officers, Social Workers and marketing team.

This role is part of the Services Operations team, reporting to the Services Operations Coordinator. The position is 30 hours per week which can be four x 7.5-hour days or five x 6-hour days. The successful applicant will be required to work in the Sydney office on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The other day(s) can be worked form home.

About you:

The position is ideal for someone with administration skills and a customer focus to gain more experience in a varied role in a not-for-profit. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Experience in an administration role, preferably in a team support position
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office based computing applications e.g. Microsoft Office, Teams, spreadsheets
  • Experience using client information management systems (CRM) and databases
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and be flexible
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills – both written and oral
  • Ability to exercise discretion when working with confidential information
  • Empathy for Redkite’s cause and vision

Desirable

  • Experience using Salesforce CRM
  • Experience working for a not for profit or health related organisation
