The Senior Project Manager role is core to the success of Reground and we are looking for someone who has skills in multiple areas as well as a burning passion for seeing good businesses, the planet, and the community thrive. The role is responsible for the smooth running of the business, and growth of the consultancy as well as helping address and innovate on daily issues that arise in small businesses.
The Senior Project Manager will be assisting a diverse range of existing and potential clients with our large portfolio of services. This role is mostly about seeing opportunities, knowing how to turn them into work, and doing the work.
You must have experience in project management. You will be able to multitask, keeping both long and short-term resources and goals in mind while overseeing many diverse projects (keep in mind we are a small team.) This role includes opportunities for hands-on work (such as waste audits) as well as ongoing project management. The aim of this role is to assist with the further development of Reground, growing it to other parts of the country, improving on service offerings, and making sustainable waste management solutions mainstream. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a creative, independent, and curious hard worker that cares about how we can expand and grow systems that work for people and our planet. A very disciplined and effective worker is well suited for this role. Sales, public speaking, and process optimisation will all form part of the weekly duties, and natural confidence and charisma are a bonus.
Overall we are looking for someone who will fit into the team and contribute to one of the most dynamic and progressive waste organisations in Victoria.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
This role is for four days per week and some of the weekly tasks are
- Relationship building with councils and larger Reground collection customers such as cafe groups, retail groups, corporates, etc.
- Must be experienced and comfortable with business development and sales and used to working to a monthly KPI
- Seeking out new consulting projects, sales meetings and proposal development
- Identifying grants and writing grant applications and RFQ responses
- Project and stakeholder management of multiple projects with multiple stakeholders at once
- Events, workshops and public speaking - presenting the Reground story to different audiences
- Designing and delivering content for presentations and workshops
- Data recording, analysis and reporting
- Managing consultancy team members and project support staff
- Financial forecasting
- Strategic development
- Identifying areas to collaborate with other social enterprises and recycling opportunities
- Managing large datasets

- You don’t need to know much about waste, you’ll learn all the ins and outs of this when joining, however, you do need to recognise the importance and the potential that waste plays in combating climate change and creating community and well being.
