About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions and business needs. Your primary objective will be to improve our organisation's processes, systems, and infrastructure through effective analysis and communication. This part-time position offers a great opportunity to contribute your expertise while accommodating your schedule. You will liaise with the Human IT Provider and ensure all the IT needs of the organisation is met in a timely manner, address all IT and Cyber Security Risk Related Matter.
Responsibilities will include:
1. System Analysis/ Design and Requirements Elicitation:
- Collaborate with staff to identify, investigate, and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices and document ICT-related requirements including hardware, software/ network needs.
- Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommends optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour.
- Work with Human IT and analyse existing ICT systems, infrastructure, and processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with Human IT and ensure our systems are meeting all organisational needs.
2. Problem Solving/ Administration/Documentation
- Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensures acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
- Address and resolve technical issues and obstacles that may arise during the implementation of ICT solutions.
- Provide support with internal IT setup and asset management.
- Acts as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of ICT systems, configurations, and user guides
3. Stakeholder/ Vendor Evaluation:
- Develop functional specifications for use by system developers and participate in the selection and evaluation of ICT vendors and solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and budget constraints.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on ICT project goals and objectives.
4. Data Analysis/DEX reporting :
- Analyse data and metrics related to ICT performance, security, and usage to identify areas for enhancement and optimisation.
- Manage all the reporting to the department as directed.
- Project Management.
- Use project management methodologies, principles, and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects.
5. Training and Building Capacity
- Building Create user and trainer documentation, and conducts formal training classes.
About you
- Relevant qualifications - Information Technology/ Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as an ICT Business Systems or a similar role, with a strong understanding of ICT systems and business processes.
- Significant project management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including knowledge of ICT security and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management principles and experience working on project teams.
- Familiarity with software and hardware development and deployment processes.
- Detail-oriented and organised with strong documentation skills.
- Understanding of emerging ICT trends and technologies.
