About the role

This role is a 12 month Fixed-Term-Contract covering parental leave. Working closely with the Relationship Matters Managers and Coordinators under the direction of the Executive Manager – Corporate Services you will be responsible for people and culture processes through the provision of sound advice and support in human resources, staff wellbeing and industrial relations. The role will also be responsible for EAP contract and relationship management and offer information sessions at workplaces as required.

Responsibilities will include:

People and Culture:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures in line with organisational standards.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including employment screening, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Provide HR support and seek external advice on complex matters as needed, ensuring timely communication of relevant updates to staff.
  • Oversee HR functions such as remuneration changes, terminations, transfers, and return-to-work arrangements.
  • Administer the performance review process and support internal/external audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Promote people and culture initiatives that foster a culture of equal opportunity and diversity.
  • Develop and implement the Learning and Development Plan in collaboration with executives and managers.
  • Support RM’s Health & Wellbeing Plan and Reward & Recognition Program.
  • Prepare reports and provide HR insights as required.

EAP Contract and Relationship Management:

  • Liaise with Strategic Communication and Business Development Manager and issue new contracts as per the terms and arrangements negotiated for EAP and Workplace Business Services.
  • Prepare regular reports for EAP clients.
  • Provide information package and assist with induction for newly enrolled workplaces who register for EAP.
  • Provide information on the Relationship Matters EAP services to employees as per workplace request.
  • Liaise with the finance team and ensure all finance and accounts matters related to EAP services provided are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Take a proactive approach and build relationships with workplaces to increase use of EAP and promote Workplace Business Services
  • Other duties as requested to ensure the smooth operations of our business.

About you 

You will be:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven HR experience, with a strong understanding of the SCHADS Award and its application in workforce management.
  • Experience managing employment contracts and knowledge of industrial relations.
  • Proficiency in Employment Hero or similar HRIS platforms for payroll, employee records, and compliance tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of performance measurement, benchmarking, and service standards within the relationship management sector.
  • Experience promoting continuous quality improvement in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and rapport across teams.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy in challenging situations.
  • Ability to learn quickly, assimilate complex information, and apply knowledge in new contexts.
  • High-level computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to develop realistic action plans within time and resource constraints.
