Rémi’s Patch is a 20-acre organic market garden located in Keilor (22km / 20-30 mins from Melbourne). We are a friendly and passionate team growing high volume seasonal produce, attending four busy weekend farmers’ markets in Melbourne, and providing to many of the region’s finest restaurants and food hubs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Seeking 2 people to start as soon as possible.
• 1 year commitment for experienced market gardener good to go and work right away.
• Long term only for people who need training.
• This job is not for the faint hearted! We need high-energy guns for this role!
• It involves varied, physically intensive farm and market work outdoors in all weather.
• It’s a rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated, hard-working person, offering hands-on training, responsibility, skills and experience in all facets of running a successful market garden.
• 70% of time will be dedicated to harvest, where you will work as part of our team, be efficient (capable of repetitive work at a fast rhythm), demonstrate resilience, performance under time pressure and problem-solving skills.
• Part time or Full-time 4 to 5 days/week (3 to 4 days at the farm + 1 farmers’ market every weekend or every second week end).

REQUIREMENTS

• Very good English and communication base, for good client contact at market and connection with team on the farm.
• Self-initiative, autonomy, team-work skills and a can-do, professional attitude.
• Manual driver license, able to drive with a trailer
• Willing to learn to drive a tractor.
• Prior farm work experience.
• Sales / customer service experience.
