Renew Economy is seeking a Digital Content Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimising digital content from our mastheads including Renew Economy, The Driven, and One Step Off The Grid across various platforms to enhance our online presence and engage our target audiences. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical skills to ensure content is easy to consume and resonates with our target audiences. This position can be hybrid or remote depending on individual circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, create, and manage high-quality digital content for social media including short form video content, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with others to align content with brand voice.
- Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to optimise engagement.
- Assisting with website content production and newsletter production.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
- Assist in managing social media accounts, including scheduling posts moderating audience interactions.
- Manage pre-production across our various podcast titles.
- Compiling advertiser reports and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on social media data, identify trends, and optimise campaigns based on insights and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and tools, applying innovative strategies to keep our brand fresh and relevant.
- Work with external vendors and contractors when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Interest in the renewable energy space.
- Able to translate news into content that is fit for purpose targeting multiple audiences across various platforms.
- Experience in video content creation and editing.
- Ability to work well in a small team and be flexible according to the business needs.
- 2+ years of experience in digital content creation, coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with WordPress.
- Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing tools.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social media management tools
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
