About the Role
This is a work-from-home opportunity for people based in the Rockhampton region.
You will be supported with a six-month onboarding and training and mentoring program.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
- Develop and implement individually devised Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Complete behavioural assessments including Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop evidence-based strategies and behaviour support plans.
- Create therapeutic plans for our participants using behaviour analysis, and mentor and train participant support staff in behaviour strategies and procedures.
- Observe and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, and review against individual plans and set goals.
- Contribute to the development of training programs and resources to support staff, families, and the wider community.
- Promote and embrace Renew’s values and comply with all policies and procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who will live our values and achieve outstanding outcomes for our clients. You will:
- Have a degree level qualification in a related field/discipline area.
- Have experience in the disability or special education fields.
- Be passionate about working with people with disabilities, adults and children who display challenging behaviours.
- Be committed to delivering outcomes for our client-base and prepared to go the extra mile.
- Have a current driver’s license, Working with Disabilities and Children Checks (or eligibility to apply and obtain).
- Have strong communication skills and a proven ability to establish meaningful relationships with our participants, families and staff.
