The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) relies on fundraising, donations and corporate partnerships to deliver our life-saving services and to fund new aircraft, equipment and infrastructure. With demand for our services increasing each year, the Fundraising and Philanthropy team continues to play a critical role in RFDS’s endeavour to improve health outcomes for those who live, work and travel in the bush.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the award-winning Fundraising & Philanthropy team at the RFDS (Queensland Section). In this permanent, full-time position, referred to internally as Supporter Care Manager, you’ll play a key role in a dynamic team, delivering exceptional donor care and contributing to the success of our well-established fundraising growth strategy.

Who are we looking for?

  • An experienced team manager, ideally in a fundraising, customer service or finance environment
  • Has exceptional customer service skills
  • Proven ability to handle financial data efficiently and accurately, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Skilled at responding to customer queries in a courteous, prompt, accurate, and confident manner
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A collaborative professional with the ability to work effectively across teams, build strong relationships, and contribute to a unified and supportive work environment
  • 3-5 years relevant experience and holds a minimum certificate in a relevant study area (Business, Administration, Customer Service, Fundraising)

In this role, you will:

  • Process donations received via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Reconcile daily donation processing and submit the results to the Finance team
  • Oversee and contribute to all daily tasks and processes performed by the Supporter Care team that aligns to our Fundraising and Philanthropy program goals and success
  • Provide expert leadership, direction and guidance to your team to deliver exceptional and efficient supporter care
  • Plan and manage the team’s workload, considering fundraising activities and their impact on staff capacity.
