About the Project:
The Robinvale Health Group Service Review
In 2022, RFDS Victoria purchased the Robinvale District Medical Centre to support continued access to GP-led primary healthcare services for the Robinvale community, which faces significant health challenges. This consultancy project aims to assess the current state of primary healthcare services, consider future state scenarios, and provide evidence-based recommendations for future service delivery.
Purpose of the Consultancy:
We are seeking an independent consultant specialising in health services to manage a comprehensive service review over a 12-week period.
The key activities include:
- Assessing the current state of primary healthcare services.
- Considering future state scenarios and providing evidence-based recommendations.
- Conducting a future state analysis of the Robinvale service with a view to expanding across rural Victoria.
- Evaluating financial sustainability, service integration, workforce supply, patient demand, and service model configuration.
Deliverables:
- Project plan detailing project establishment, data collection, consultation schedule, and baseline model analysis.
- Comprehensive consultation with RFDS staff, clinicians, Executive Leadership Team, and local health and business partners.
- Draft report summarising project components and a future state analysis, presented to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Final report to inform 3-year planning and business modelling with implementation recommendations.
Required Expertise:
- Proven experience in financial reviews, business planning, and feasibility studies in the Australian Primary Health Care environment.
- Expertise in health and human service sectors, with the ability to tailor solutions to RFDS Victoria’s needs.
- Familiarity with General Practitioner and Primary Health Care models in rural and remote settings.
- Experience in market and data analysis, service model reviews, and collaborative co-development processes.
