Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency road, aeromedical and primary health services for people in rural and remote Australia. We believe in creating opportunities, so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services.

Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport primarily in Victoria and New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.

MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics. The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Operations Centre team as an Operations Centre Coordinator.

About the Role:

As an Operations Centre Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating non-emergency patient transports, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services across Victoria and New South Wales.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Dispatch and Coordination: Coordinating patient transports, allocating resources, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Operations Centre.
  • Patient Care: Prioritising patient needs, ensuring timely and compassionate care, and adhering to strict clinical guidelines.
  • Team Management: Supervising and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with healthcare providers, patients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate records, managing data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced operational or logistical role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to providing exceptional patient care
