About the Practice

RFDS Robinvale Health Services offers GP and Nurse Practitioner care and treatment to a diverse rural community and through both face-to-face and telehealth services. We are open 5 days per week Monday to Friday, 0830 to 1700.

About the Role

The Practice Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and manage administrative and clinical staff, lead practice risk management and quality improvement processes, maintain financial records and provide clinical support.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • One 'on the floor' day providing direct patient care
  • Oversee billing, budgeting, and financial reporting to support efficient practice operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns
  • People management including staff scheduling, coaching, mentoring, performance management, recruitment and training
  • Maintain awareness of current and new legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including industrial & employment law, OHS requirements, and privacy obligations

To be successful, you will need:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in medical practice management and demonstrated people management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), applicable incentives and other funding streams.
  • Experience in managing a small business/office including human resources, planning, budgeting & reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
  • Ability to problem solve, think critically and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of medical software and sound experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Current CPR (or willing to obtain one)
  • Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Driver Licence, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
