NWCS has an exciting role for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, providing case management services.

The Position

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team is funded by a range of NSW Government Departments, Western Sydney Primary Health Network and private donors. The program seeks to work with our most vulnerable community members, providing person centred and trauma informed case work services. The position will engage with individuals and families, to develop appropriate goals, understand needs, navigate the service system and focus on building capacity to achieve enhanced life outcomes. The position will build strong relationships and referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

The successful candidate will have the following essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social science/ human services/community services
  • Commitment to social justice, cultural diversity, accountability and integrity
  • Two years industry experience delivering client centred case work services to vulnerable people, and those with complex needs
  • Demonstrated experience with person centred and trauma informed practice
  • Strong level of communication, written and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with people from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds and with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level computer skills, documentation, client data management systems, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a high volume workload
  • National Police Check, Working with Children Check and First Aid (or willing to attain)
  • Drivers Licence and comprehensively insured motor vehicle

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of Australian Association of Social Workers, or other relevant entity
  • We encourage applicants from ATSI or CALD backgrounds
