Tired of a mundane 9am-5pm pencil pushing role?! Make a difference in the lives of sick children and join our vibrant organisation! Championing our Victorian House and Event Volunteer Programs, this role is pivotal for looking after our volunteers, ensuring they are compliant, competent and confident to begin their volunteering journey with RMHC.
We are recruiting for a full-time on-site role working multi-site, across the Victorian Houses in North Fitzroy, Parkville and Clayton. This role will work on a flexi schedule and flexi hours, as determined by you to ensure program delivery for both events and House volunteers.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is one of the leading Global and Australian children’s charities supporting the ever-changing needs of seriously ill children and their families. In-line with its mission, Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania (RMHC VIC & TAS) has dedicated more than 35 years to keeping families closer to their child with a serious illness who require treatment and support across Victoria and Tasmania.
As the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you will be at the operational front-line, supporting and engaging volunteers to ensure a positive experience with every contact. It will be your responsibility to coordinate the Victorian House and Event Volunteer Programs, including the induction, training, rostering and communication with volunteers and program reporting. The role supports onsite engagement with the relevant department - eg. VIC House Volunteer Program with the Operations team and events volunteers, with the Fundraising & Marketing (F&M) team. You will work in line with our key policies, particularly in the areas of safeguarding children, confidentiality and equal opportunities.
Aside from a fun, energetic, passionate human - we are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and actively wants to contribute to the values held by all staff at Ronald McDonald House Charities. We want you to champion our Volunteer Programs and facilitate the onboarding, training and rostering of our volunteers to enable them to provide the best support to our families.
