Overview

The River Nile Learning Centre (RNLC) is a not-for-profit that provides a free and safe learning space with holistic support to women from refugee, asylum seeker, and CALD backgrounds to build capacity and thrive in the community.

The women we support may be unable to enrol in formal education or employment programs due to their age, visa status, or personal circumstances. Our core programs include foundation English and digital literacy classes, complemented by essential services such as food relief, public transport cards, wellbeing programs, and social support.

RNLC operates with flexibility, offering lessons over four days per week to accommodate students' schedules. We adopt a holistic, trauma-informed approach to address the unique educational and support needs of each student. This approach allows us to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of the women and families we support.
